After studying math & engineering at Valdosta State University and Southern Poly Tech, and former college QB & Tailback, Steven understands leadership, drive and ambition. Steven has recently joined forces with a Design Consulting Services to transform Steven Handy Work into an Atlanta’s premier full service Design/Build companies.
Steven focuses on the company’s business development and strategic planning. He works hand in hand with all facets of the business and still maintains an active role in both the creative and construction portions of our projects.
Steven is active in the community by working with youth and their families through mentoring and being a role model. Steven enjoys traveling, jazz, jazz festivals, comedy, eating Stromboli with a "BIG" plate of fries and building things in his wood shop. Steven also enjoys horseback riding, gardening and playing golf whenever he get a chance.

OUR PROCESS
With over Twenty-five years of experience as a "Turnkey Solution" for residential & commercial construction projects for our clients, we have been able to hone our process into a few simple steps to ensure stress-free, successful projects. The foundation of our process is based on trust and communication. We provide our clients with a single point of contact throughout each step of the process. We focus on forming a partnership leading to a positive working relationship, a stress-free project implementation, and ultimately a finished product that exceeds our client’s expectations.
BUILDING OUR RELATIONSHIP
Our first meeting is an in-home design consultation where we are able to acquaint ourselves with you, our client, allowing us to better understand your needs and vision for the project. We take the time to listen to your concerns and to provide feedback throughout the meeting. We take the time to understand your needs, wants, etc to make sure that our services encompasses all of the necessary elements to meet your requirements and exceed your expectations.
CONTRACTS AND APPROVALS
Once the project details, scope, and budget have all been finalized we then will provide you with a contract to sign to move into the implementation phase. At this point in the process the contract will be based on a fixed price for the agreed upon scope of work and a defined project completion date. Once we have the signed contract in hand we will then begin the permitting and approval process. We manage every step of the permitting process ensuring that all of the necessary approvals are obtained from the necessary authorities prior to starting construction.
BRINGING IT TO LIFE
Once the necessary permits and approvals have been obtained, we cover all of the necessary details to ensure that the project runs smoothly including the construction schedule, overall project timeline, preferred communication methods, etc. Once construction begins, we will communicate with you regularly daily updates of the progress so that the process is as seamless and stress free as possible. We work hand in hand with other sub-contractors and our expert craftsman to bring your project to life throughout the duration of the job.
PROJECT COMPLETION
Upon completion of your project we will meet with you personally on-site once again. We stand behind our work and want to make sure that you have the necessary support and information to get the most out of your new project. We take great pride in our projects, as well as the customer experience that we provide. Through our process we find that we are able to provide our clients a streamlined process that leads to a more positive customer experience and ultimately the highest quality finished product. We strive to build a lasting relationships with our clients.

SERVICE FEES AND MINIMUMS
No charge for phone consults. Our on site basic written estimate fee minimum is $45. Our detailed written/emailed estimate fee is a minimum of $125. Larger budgeted project presentations over $2,500 will be assessed at 5% of estimate total. Once we meet with you and understands the project you want completed, we will provide you with a guaranteed quote. No surprises. Most quotes are good for 2 weeks.
